Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Senior Speech Pathologist who is ready for a new adventure. As the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will be able to create, lead and deliver crucial services to our regional Griffith communities. This is your opportunity to step into a position where you are in charge and no two days are the same. You will have opportunities to work within a range of settings, including our brand new, state of the art, Griffith Base Hospital.

About the role:

Joining a high performing multidisciplinary team, you will support services for a range of clients, primarily adults and their loved ones. You will be an integral piece of a collaborative, supportive and empowering team who play an essential role within our community.

As the Senior Acute Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering comprehensive speech pathology services to an inpatient and outpatient caseload

  • Representing Speech Pathology in a multidisciplinary tea

  • Supporting complex cases with a variety of challenges and considerations to navigate

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. An in-depth understanding and ability to provide speech pathology services in a curious and empathetic way

  2. Tertiary Qualifications and eligibility for Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)

  3. High level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as part of a large team

  4. Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal

  5. Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise services where necessary
