About the role
The Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician functions within a multidisciplinary team and gives priority to coordination of the recovery of Aboriginal people with a mental illness or disorder, providing expert clinical services in collaboration with consumers, carers and other care providers, using an integrated and person centred approach.
This position is based in Dubbo where you will be working as a part of the Multidisciplinary Community Mental Health team and may be required to provide outreach to nearby areas. The key skills are to have experience in providing mental health care in the community.
The most rewarding aspect of this role is being able to work within the community, meeting new patients and seeing positive outcomes for them from interventions that are put in place. The successful applicant would need to have good communication skills to be able to network with other services within Dubbo and the region.
