About the Role

This position is based at Gosford Hospital, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. We are seeking an experienced professional who is confident in their skills, as this role provides support to both anaesthesia nurses and doctors. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, along with a natural aptitude for mentoring, would be highly valued. This is a role where others frequently turn to for guidance and advice.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist, Grade 2, is responsible for delivering complex specialist nursing care and leading development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery to provide effective quality care for patients/clients with complex care needs within the Anaesthetics at Gosford Perioperative suite.

About You

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) plus post graduate qualifications relevant to the Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit and at least 5 years fulltime equivalent clinical experience in the specialty of the specified post graduate qualification - Perioperative nursing/Anaesthesia Nursing.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide specialised services and promote innovative nursing practices. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in the area of specialty, including ability to develop nursing speciality clinical practice and service delivery.
