As a 300+ bed regional hospital, Wyong provides a wide scope of acute, surgical and specialty services. The site continues to expand through significant recent redevelopments, including 60 new inpatient beds, a new paediatric outpatient unit, and an expanded Medical Assessment Unit reflecting the rapid growth of the Central Coast community.

With one application, you’ll be considered for all current Registered Nurse opportunities across Wyong Hospital within our acute and specialty services. We offer full-time, part-time, permanent and temporary contracts, including 6-month roles and maternity relief. Most inpatient units operate on a 24/7 rotating roster with 8- or 10-hour or 12 hour shift profiles.

Coronary Care Unit and General Medicine
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team providing comprehensive care across the cardiac pathway. From novice to expert, you’ll have the opportunity to develop advanced skills, including pre- and post-cardiac procedure care, cannulation, Advanced Life Support (ALS),and BiPAP management, just to name a few.

Neurology & Stroke Ward
Join our stimulating and supportive Neurology & Stroke Ward, caring for patients with acute and sub-acute neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, autoimmune neurological disorders, Parkinson’s disease and brain injury.

You will:
• Develop advanced neurological assessment skills
• Collaborate with neurologists, allied health clinicians and stroke coordinators
• Deliver coordinated, person-centred care
• Access structured learning and development pathways supported by Clinical Nurse Educators

Ideal for nurses who enjoy critical thinking, teamwork, and meaningful patient relationships.

Geriatric Rehabilitation
Be part of a compassionate team supporting older adults transitioning from acute care to recovery.

• Respiratory assessment

• Chronic disease management

Work closely with respiratory physicians, physiotherapists and allied health in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Surgical Ward
Be part of a fast-paced surgical unit managing a diverse caseload including general, colorectal, vascular, orthopaedic and urology patients.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Join a skilled and compassionate ICU team delivering high-quality critical care to patients with complex, multi-system illness or injury. Our ICU provides both Intensive Care and High Dependency services within a supportive environment that values teamwork, safety and professional growth.

You’ll gain experience in:
• Ventilation & airway management
• Haemodynamic monitoring
• Advanced life support
• Managing critically unwell patients with evolving care needs
• Collaborating with intensivists and specialist teams

About You
You will have: 
• Current AHPRA registration and valid Australian work rights
• At least 2 years recent clinical experience in Australia 
• Strong communication, clinical judgement and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including nights and weekends
