About the Opportunity

As a Registered Nurse in the Palliative Care Service, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team providing specialist nursing care to patients with complex health needs. Your role is vital in ensuring comfort, dignity, and high-quality care for every individual. In this role you will:

  • Deliver person-centered care and nursing interventions to support patients’ health and wellbeing goals in a palliative care context.
  • Undertake assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in line with evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records to guide ongoing care and meet legal requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, carers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and professional development to support continuous practice improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including using healthcare information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Personal attributes including resilience, integrity, and accountability.
  • Understanding of the CCLHD vision “Caring for the Coast” and commitment to NSW Health CORE values.
