Position Classification: Registered Midwife
Remuneration: $37.48 - $52.62 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Blacktown Hospital

Blacktown Hospital is a major tertiary referral hospital within Western Sydney Local Health District, delivering contemporary maternity services to a diverse community. You will join the Midwifery Group Practice MAPS, recognised for continuity of care, collaboration and professional excellence.

What you'll be doing 
As a Registered Midwife MAPS, you will provide high quality continuity of midwifery care across the pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey, working collaboratively to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Deliver individualised, evidence based, woman centred care
• Assess, plan and respond to changing clinical needs effectively
• Communicate and advocate for women and their families
• Supervise and support students and colleagues as required
• Utilise resources efficiently within professional scope and standards

Essential Criteria
 

  • Registration: Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife 

 

Selection Criteria

  1. Previous relevant clinical experience in speciality.

  2. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.

  3. Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal.

  4. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

  5. Commitment to continuing professional development.

  6. Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team .
