Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) provides essential health services to western Sydney, focusing on collaboration, respect, and patient-centred care. The Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (BCI) supports women with breast cancer through integrated care, research, and education.
- Provides primary, secondary, and tertiary health services across multiple Local Government Areas.
- BCI combines screening, treatment, and clinical care for continuity and quality care.
- Multi-Skilled Administration Officer supports BCI programs, clinics, and back-office functions.
- Role includes rotating across various sites in Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.
- BCI leads with a multidisciplinary approach, enhancing outcomes for breast cancer patients.
What you'll be doing
The Multi-Skilled Administration Officer Level 3 supports the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (BCI) by delivering high-quality administrative services across its programs. The role involves clinic and back-office duties, contributing to effective breast cancer care.
- Provides professional admin support for BCI programs and clinics.
- Covers front-line clinic services and back-office operations.
- Rotates across facilities in Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.
- Ensures smooth operations supporting screening, care, research, and education.
- Contributes to a multidisciplinary, patient-centred care environment.

- Relevant qualifications in business administration and/or equivalent experience in similar office/administrative/customer service/reception roles within a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated high level and effective interpersonal skills, with good oral and written communication and the ability to confidently and courteously communicate with a wide range and variety of individuals and organisations both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated high level customer service skills, with a proven commitment to providing high quality service and maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
- Demonstrated good computer literacy with Microsoft office suite products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experience in the use of computer hardware, various electronic administration systems and databases, including proficiencies in Cerner Millennium & iPMS.
- Demonstrated excellent administrative and organisation skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated good ability to plan, prioritise and organise a wide range of administrative tasks in a high volume work environment and display time management and problem solving skills to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable, use initiative and work effectively without supervision as well as in collaboration with other staff members contributing to a well-functioning team.
