What you'll be doing
As a Senior Level 3 Social Worker, you’ll apply advanced clinical expertise to provide high‑level psychosocial assessment, counselling and case coordination for adolescents accessing specialist services, as well as Women’s and Children’s Health clients when required. You will work autonomously, provide consultative expertise, and support high‑risk and complex cases across the hospital.
In this role, you will:
Deliver complex psychosocial assessments and interventions for adolescents and families
Provide specialist consultation on challenging clinical, psychosocial and medico‑legal matters
Deliver Maudsley‑based family therapy and evidence‑informed treatment for eating disorders
Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams to ensure coordinated, safe care
Provide education, supervision and contribute to clinical governance and service improvement

Essential Requirements
Qualification: Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated clinical experience in adolescent mental health, Women’s and Children’s Health issues including child protection, domestic violence, bereavement counselling, therapeutic and crisis interventions and knowledge of family therapy principles.
Demonstrated experience in staff and/or student supervision.
Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education.
Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills and high level computer literacy.
Demonstrated excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
Demonstrated understanding of issues associated with working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse client group.
Participation in the After Hours Crisis On Call Social Work Service.
