Selection Criteria

1. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such. An applicant's race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977Experience in, and broad knowledge of, the NSW healthcare system.
2. Demonstrated experience and skills in coordination of large projects and/or programs, with a focus on developing and implementing training and/or education programs.
3. Advanced verbal and written communication skills with an ability to draft high quality correspondence and reports.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
5. High level customer service and stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated ability to liaise with clients from diverse backgrounds.
6. Ability to work with minimal direction and undertake a diverse range of tasks relating to the management of an educational training program.
7. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, with proven ability to: work effectively at all levels of the organization; influence and drive outcomes, through persuasion and the ability to gain respect and creditability with management and employees.
8. Prior experience working in a health setting and/or education setting, with a keen interest in improving patient outcomes and development of employment opportunities for Aboriginal candidates.
