Position Classification: Administration Officer Level 3
Remuneration: $35.84 - $36.96 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Westmead Hospital and Blacktown Hospital
Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. The Seniors Assessment Service (SAS) supports older people to access appropriate aged care services through comprehensive and timely assessments. You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

What you'll be doing
In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality administrative and scheduling support to ensure the efficient delivery of Seniors Assessment Service activities. You will:
Manage and coordinate SAS waiting lists and appointment bookings across community and hospital settings
Liaise with My Aged Care to accept referrals and ensure timely responses
Maintain accurate data entry across My Aged Care, eMR and local systems
Communicate effectively with clients, carers and multidisciplinary health professionals
Balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
This is a maternity backfill position with possibility of extension of contract on a part time basis.

Selection Criteria:
Understanding of, and/or experience in, the health sector and aged care service.
Previous experience in waiting list management and booking systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated efficient computer skills with the ability to learn and use electronic reporting systems.
Sound organisational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to provide support across multiple teams.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment.
