What you'll be doing
Undertake a full range of duties expected of the Radiation Therapist for the purpose of planning and delivering accurate and precise radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologists including patient care. The  Level 4 Grade 1 Radiation Therapist will be responsible for the daily organisation of the work and QA activities within a section of the department, be a role model for more junior staff, support management in upholding the values of the organisation and play a pro-active role in the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimum and efficient delivery of service across the district, including education of Multidisciplinary staff

Essential Requirements

Graduate of a course in Medical Radiation Science-Radiation Therapy, accredited by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority, hence eligible for AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist and eligible for licensure by the Department of Environment and Climate Control NSW.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of radiation therapy, including ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills in written, oral and electronic formats
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls, including radiation safety measures in radiation therapy
  • Experience in a supervisory role and proven ability to manage and motivate staff together with demonstrated conflict resolution and performance management skills.
  • Demonstrated significant participation in continuing professional development, research and quality improvement activities
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent patient care
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing clinical and theoretical skills of multidisciplinary team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement evidence based practice and utilise analytical skills in problem solving
