Where you'll be working
We're seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) unit at Westmead Hospital a vital component of Westmead Hospital's comprehensive renal services, providing specialised care for patients with end-stage kidney disease.
The PD unit provides both in-centre and home-based training for Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) and Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD), enabling patients to manage their treatment independently.
The unit features 22 treatment bays, a satellite pharmacy, and outpatient clinics staffed by a multidisciplinary team of nephrologists, nurses, dietitians, and social workers. This state of the art integrated approach delivers comprehensive care and support for patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.

What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in our team you will be providing individualised, high-quality care in a health service setting to support optimal patient/client outcomes through collaboration and teamwork.
The role focuses on delivering best-practice nursing care, advocating for patients, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes and support for staff development.
In your role you will be:
Promoting best practice and escalation of care appropriately.
Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
Advocating for diverse patient needs, including Indigenous and multicultural groups.
Upholding professional, ethical nursing standards and comply with policies.
Providing clinical support and mentorship to staff and students.

Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (NSW Registered Nurse – Division 1
