What you'll be doing
The Administration Officer provides administrative support to the renal dialysis units of Blacktown Mt Druitt Hospitals under the supervision of the NUM at the Regional Dialysis Centre Blacktown. The administrative officer works closely with all members of the team caring for patients receiving dialysis treatments. This includes nurses, medical staff, allied health staff, general services and other administrative staff and requires regular communication with patients their families and carers.

Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated excellent telephone, written and oral communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
Demonstrated experience using iPIM or other patient information systems, PBRC billing system, HPE document tracking systems, Oracle ordering system and other MoH IT systems.
Demonstrated previous experience working in a medical practice or outpatients clinics in a hospital environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office products in particular WORD and Excel.
Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy.
