About the role
In this position you would undertake a range of cleaning duties as outlined in a daily schedule, including high level cleaning, outside cleaning, to ensure the hospital environment remains clean, safe & attractive.
This would include the preparation of light refreshments for patients, delivery of patient meals to support the nutrition of patients at the facility.
You would provide general assistance in the ward / facility including moving equipment, making unoccupied beds to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
Minimise risks to self & patient through consistent adherence to safe manual handling principles & infection prevention & control guidelines in completion of all duties.
Complete documentation & reports applicable to the role in an accurate & timely manner to ensure adequate communication with other staff.
Participate in quality programs as required to ensure ongoing improvement of services within the work area.
The hours are casual & can range from 0600 to 1430, 0630 to 1500.
The team is only small & everyone is easy to get along with & happy to help others when asked.
The successful applicant will work closely with either the cook when on catering shift or other cleaners when on a cleaning shift.
The successful applicant will be supported with online & on the job learning
