- Join Liverpool Hospital’s dynamic Physiotherapy Department as the Senior Respiratory Physiotherapist and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
- Lead the oversight and treatment of a diverse and complex respiratory caseload, including patients within the Acute Respiratory Failure Service and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs.
- Work collaboratively within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, contributing expert clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Drive excellence in respiratory physiotherapy by applying advanced assessment, treatment, and clinical reasoning skills to support patients with complex needs.
- Guide, mentor and supervise junior physiotherapists, helping shape the next generation of clinical talent.

We’re looking for a motivated and capable clinician who is ready to step into a senior role and make a meaningful impact in respiratory physiotherapy. You’ll be a great match for this opportunity if you can bring:
- Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA and a strong commitment to safe, high‑quality clinical care.
- Confidence in guiding and supporting others, with experience mentoring, supervising or teaching physiotherapy staff or students.
- A passion for ongoing learning, staying current with emerging evidence and applying best-practice approaches in your day-to-day work.
- An interest in improving how services are delivered, contributing to research, evaluation, innovation or quality initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, enabling clear, compassionate and professional interactions with patients, families and colleagues.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- Well,‑developed respiratory and cardiopulmonary clinical expertise, especially in supporting patients with chronic or complex conditions.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy.
2. Demonstrated extensive level of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy skills and experience, including management of chronic disease patients.
3. Demonstrated experience in supervision and teaching of staff and/or students.
4. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement, research and service development activities.
