This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist to achieve something great by shaping and delivering a new renal dialysis service within Liverpool Hospital.In this permanent part‑time role, you will work within a supportive and collaborative renal services environment, delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care and tailored lifestyle interventions to renal patients. You will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative models of care that respond to the complex needs of dialysis clients, while making a meaningful difference to patient outcomes.By joining the Liverpool Hospital Physiotherapy Department, you will contribute to service development, work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, and help improve the health and wellbeing of our diverse South Western Sydney community.
Are You the Right Fit?
You are a driven and capable clinician who brings:
- Professional accreditation, holding current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA or a recognised tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology with eligibility for ESSA membership.
- Strong clinical capability, with experience delivering best‑practice care for patients with physical health and lifestyle needs, ideally within renal services or other complex clinical settings.
- A commitment to ongoing learning, demonstrated through active engagement in professional development and evidence‑based practice.
- Experience contributing to service enhancement, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, or the development of new models of care.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Proven organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, work autonomously, and contribute positively within a team.
- Capability in education and supervision, including supporting students, junior staff, or Allied Health Assistants as required.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Hold current Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA or a Recognised tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology & eligibility for membership with ESSA
2. Demonstrated significant and relevant clinical experience including best practice knowledge in physicalhealth and lifestyle issues specific to renal care and experience in managing complex caseloads
3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement, research and service development activities
4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
5. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
