About the Opportunity
The Senior Pharmacist Educator & Training (Grade 3), will oversee and co-ordinate the education, training requirements and competency assessment of pharmacy staff including pharmacists, intern pharmacists, pharmacy assistants/technicians and pharmacy students.
The pharmacy has responsibility for providing a comprehensive clinical service to ensure safe, effective, outcome based and customer focused care to the patients of the hospital. This position trains and accesses staff so this happens safely, effectively and the service is offered in line with SHPA standards. The clinical pharmacy service is to be structured, reproducible and clinically appropriate.
This position also has a significant role in JMO and nursing education, as such the position offers you the opportunity to develop facility practice overall.
Ideally, we want a motivated pharmacist, adept at change management, with a strong background of clinical pharmacy and demonstrated history of advanced practice. Campbelltown is a rapidly growing facility, if you are up for the challenge come and be part of the growth!
What You'll be Doing
To oversee and co-ordinate the education and training requirements and competency assessment of pharmacy staff including pharmacists, intern pharmacists, pharmacy assistants/technicians and pharmacy students. General leadership, clinical and/or dispensary pharmacy duties may be required by the Director of Pharmacy as part of the role. The pharmacy has responsibility for providing a comprehensive clinical service to ensure safe, effective, outcome based and customer focused care to the patients of the hospital.
