About the Opportunity
Join our dedicated midwifery team at Liverpool Hospital, where we provide exceptional, woman-centred care across the continuum of maternity services.
We are currently seeking Core Midwives – to join our Postnatal Ward. Our 25-bed Postnatal Ward  support women during some of the most complex and vulnerable moments in their postnatal journey of pregnancy.

As a Midwife in this team, you will:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based, woman-centred care.

  • Support women and families after they have have had their baby/s and to provide knowledge for women and families to grow their families.

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care, while advocating for culturally safe practice and timely escalation when needed.

  • Have access to a management team who focus on being approachable, innovative and being responsive to the feedback provided by the staff who make our hospital thrive.

What you'll be doing
The midwife is a responsible and accountable professional who works in partnership with women to give the necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the midwife's own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant. 

This position may entail rotating through various clinical areas such as, Birthing Unit, Post/Antenatal Ward, Special Care Nursery and Antenatal Clinic.

  • Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration.

At Liverpool Hospital we pride ourselves on caring for all risk women and their families. Liverpool Hospital Maternity is a Level 6 facility providing care for around 3,000 births each year. Our services include:
