Liverpool Hospital is looking for a highly motivated and suitably qualified registered midwife interested in a secondment relief opportunity as a Registered Midwife in Antenatal/Gynaecology Ward. 

  • Deliver exceptional care to vulnerable and high‑risk women across South Western Sydney 
  • Support positive pregnancy outcomes through evidence‑based, patient‑centred practice 
  • Play a vital role in managing complex antenatal and clinical needs

  • The successful applicant will be Registered Midwife who is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, woman-centred care within the Antenatal/Gynaecology Ward at Liverpool Hospital 
  • You will work collaboratively with the maternity team, multidisciplinary clinicians to deliver evidence-based care that meets the diverse needs of women and their families. 
  • In this role, you will actively contribute to a supportive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will ensure practice is aligned with NSW Health standards, local policies, and contemporary best practice. 
  • We are seeking a midwife who demonstrates strong clinical capability, effective communication skills, and a commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and positive patient experiences. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving outcomes for women and families within a busy tertiary maternity service. 
 

Selection Criteria

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 
  • Detail how your skills and professional background align with the requirements of the role, emphasising the value you intend to bring to the Antenatal Assessment Unit.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based midwifery care
