About the Opportunity
The Camden & Campbelltown Hospitals Occupational Therapy Department is seeking Level 3 Occupational Therapist in Neurology. This position will be responsible for managing clinical service delivery in Neurology across the Acute wards alongside the Team Leader and Head of Department. This position will suit someone looking to specialise in Neurology, particularly in acute care.
The Level 3 position will encompass;
Management of a clinical caseload in neurology, including complex acute neurology discharge planning
Working cohesively with the MDT to coordinate complex care and discharge planning
Provide supervision and support to Level ½ and AHA staff, as well as providing opportunities for student placements.
Implementation of continuous quality improvement initiatives
Service evaluation and enhancements to service delivery
You will have the opportunity to represent the occupational therapy department on facility and district committee’s and work with key stakeholders across the organisation to manage hospital access and patient flow. We are seeking a clinical senior with strong leadership skills, exceptional time management and prioritisation skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The senior occupational therapist provides clinical governance, leadership and expertise within occupational therapy services including the provision of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality person-centered care.

Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.
Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services in Neurology.
Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
