Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2: $68.50 - $69.86 per hour
Occupational Therapist Level 4: $61.35 - $62.84 per hour
Senior Psychologist: $60.12 - $65.14 per hour
Social Worker Level 4: $61.35 - $62.84 per hour

About the Opportunity 
Are you passionate about delivering responsive, community-based mental health care? Join our dynamic PACER (Police, Ambulance, and Clinician Early Response) team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing acute mental health distress.

As a PACER Clinician, you will provide timely, expert assessment and intervention in collaboration with emergency services, families, and community partners. This role offers the chance to work across multidisciplinary teams, contribute to innovative care models, and strengthen partnerships that support continuity of care and reduce hospital admissions.

What You'll be Doing
The PACER Clinician is based out of the Police and Ambulance Stations in SWSLHD and will provide a highly responsive, mobile, recovery orientated clinical advice, consultancy and support service to NSW Police and NSW Ambulance in managing mental health related cases in the community.

The PACER Clinician is a response requested by an operational Police unit or Paramedics & provides mental health intervention, triage, or assessment & management of complex mental health emergencies & crises at an advanced level.

The position requires extensive knowledge of mental health disorders & demonstrated clinical practices to provide support, treatment, coordination & education to emergency services who work with consumers with complex mental
& physical health needs. The successful applicant will be required to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends.

SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.

 

These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.

  4. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
