Join a dedicated team at Bowral Hospital where you’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care, maintaining safety, and contributing to a secure and well‑functioning hospital environment
- Support patient care delivery — Assist nursing staff with patient comfort,mobility, pre‑operative preparation, and reporting observations to ensurehigh‑quality care.
- Provide safe patient transport — Porter patients across the facility for wardtransfers, appointments, and procedures, supporting efficient bed flow andaccess to services
- Maintain ward and facility operations — Contribute to smooth ward functioning by moving equipment, making unoccupied beds, supporting cleaning tasks, and adhering to manual handling and infection control standards
- Respond to security and emergency situations — Assist with de‑escalation or restraint when required, conduct internal and external patrols, monitor CCTV, and support responses to all emergency codes
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team — Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors, contribute to a positive teamenvironment, and uphold professionalism in high‑pressure or challenging situations

Selection Criteria

- Must hold a current Class 1A Security License with the NSW SecurityIndustry 1997 Class 1A, Current First Aid Certificate and must possess an AustralianC-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 orP2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are notpermitted.
- Describe a situation where you were required to manage a challengingor high‑risk interaction (e.g., an aggressive person, a distressed client, or a volatileenvironment). In your response, outline how you applied conflict resolution,de‑escalation, and safe restraint principles, as well as how you ensured the safety ofyourself and others.
- Provide an example of a time you were required to follow strictprocedures while working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. Include how youdemonstrated safe manual handling or infection control, used computer orelectronic security systems, took direction from supervisors, and communicatedeffectively with staff or the public
