What You'll be Doing
Provision of a wide range of Pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients of the hospital, including dispensing, distribution and manufacturing services as well as clinical services. Promotion of both safety and quality as key aspects of drug therapy. Participation in quality improvement and professional development, as well contribution to education and supervision of other staff and students.

 

Where You'll Be Working 

  • Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.
  • The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
  • Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.
  • Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.
  • Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

  1. Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
  2. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff, and patients and carers
  3. Experience in the provision of clinical Pharmacy services preferably in a hospital setting consistent with the Standards of Practice of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia
  4. Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and experience in applying that knowledge appropriately to clinical settings
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams;
  6. Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and to supervise the activities of support staff
  7. Proven organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise according to Organisational needs
  8. Demonstrated understanding and application of quality improvement methodology
