About the Opportunity:
The Diabetes team at Fairfield Hospital are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic, and personable Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their expert team.
This role required someone who can interact with others in a highly professional and personable manner. You will be a critical thinker who facilitates evidence-based practice by working collaboratively with the Diabetes Nursing team to provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals.
We are looking for someone who is a true leader and can become a person of influence in their role. The role requires someone with strong negotiation skills and who can drive change in the facility. You will bring your expert knowledge on Diabetes to the role and be ready to grow and develop the service through sharing your expertise with the team.
You will be able to work both independently and as part of a strong, multidisciplinary team and you will bring with you your professional knowledge and judgement in providing care in highly complex cases.
Collaboration is at the forefront of this role and you will be able to form professional working relationships with NUMS, Education providers, students and the wider team.

What You'll be Doing:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership facilitates evidence based practice. The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with the health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. The CNC is responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management of the care in the given specialty.
