About the Opportunity

Bowral Hospital is seeking a confident and compassionate After Hours Nurse Manager to lead clinical operations outside of regular hours. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to manage the facility during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays—ensuring seamless patient flow, optimal staffing, and the highest standards of patient safety.

As a senior nurse leader, you will provide direction and support to staff across departments, acting as a resource person and role model in both clinical practice and professional relationships. You’ll play a key role in fostering a culture of person-centred care, working collaboratively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare.

Where You'll Be Working
Bowral & District Hospital, located in the picturesque Southern Highlands of NSW, offers a unique blend of rural charm and cosmopolitan amenities. As part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, it has strong connections to tertiary facilities at Campbelltown and Liverpool.
The hospital originally opened in 1889 and has undergone significant redevelopment, with the first stage completed in December 2020. This $123 million redevelopment includes a new Clinical Services Building with a modern emergency department, operating theatres, and inpatient wards. The ongoing second stage will further enhance outpatient services and include a new Aboriginal Dreaming Garden.
Known for its commitment to safe, quality patient care, the hospital boasts a 94% satisfaction rate across all markers. Working at Bowral & District Hospital means being part of a community-focused team dedicated to excellence and innovation in healthcare.
