Join our dedicated midwifery team at Campbelltown Hospital, where we provide exceptional, woman-centred care across the continuum of maternity services.

We are currently seeking:

  1. Core Midwives – to join our Antenatal Ward and 24/7 Antenatal Assessment Unit (AAU), or
  2. Rotational Midwives – keen to work across two or more maternity areas.

At Campbelltown, we pride ourselves on aligning rotations with midwives’ preferences and professional goals. Flexible rotation options include Antenatal Clinic, Antenatal Ward & AAU, Birthing Unit, Postnatal Ward and Midwifery Support Program (MSP).

Campbelltown Hospital is part of South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD)—one of the fastest-growing and most diverse regions in NSW. This is your opportunity to join a dynamic team where every day brings variety, every voice is valued, and every woman is at the heart of the care we provide.

About the Core Antenatal Ward & Assessment Unit Role

Our modern 10-bed Antenatal Ward and 4-bed, 24/7 Antenatal Assessment Unit support women during some of the most complex and vulnerable moments in pregnancy.

As a Midwife in this team, you will:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based, woman-centred care.
  • Care for women requiring admission or assessment for presentations such as decreased fetal movements, ruptured membranes, external cephalic versions, continuous fetal monitoring, and induction of labour preparation.
  • Support women and families experiencing pregnancy loss with compassionate, sensitive care.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care, while advocating for culturally safe practice and timely escalation when needed.

About the Rotational Midwife Role

Our Rotational Midwives work across multiple departments, gaining exposure to the breadth of maternity care, including antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services.

This role is ideal for midwives who:

  • Enjoy clinical variety and developing skills in multiple settings.
  • Want to broaden their experience while contributing to safe, woman-centred care.
  • Value flexibility and professional development opportunities.

Why Midwives Love Working Here

  • Supportive culture – Work with a passionate team of midwives, doctors, educators and managers who value kindness, teamwork and growth.
  • Dynamic clinical variety – No two shifts are the same, with diverse presentations and opportunities to expand skills.
  • Education & career growth – Strong focus on mentoring, learning and building confidence, with access to Clinical Midwifery Educators, Clinical Midwifery Consultants and after-hours leadership support.
  • Commitment to inclusion – We proudly care for a diverse population and provide culturally responsive care to Aboriginal and multicultural communities.
  • Professional development – Whether you’re experienced or early in your career, you’ll find support, opportunity and encouragement to grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration.
  • Passion for midwifery and commitment to woman-centred, culturally responsive, evidence-based practice.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and escalation skills.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within a supportive environment.
