We welcome you to come and join our friendly, committed and proud team at Southern NSWLHD

At Southern NSW Local Health District we are working to help our communities lead healthy lives.  Our mission is that all people across our diverse societies are able to have timely access to the right healthcare in the right setting to maximise their health, wellbeing and independence. Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the state, from Goulburn and Crookwell to the Victorian border, and surrounds the ACT on three sides, a total of 44 537sq kms.  It extends from the pristine beaches of the NSW South Coast, the farmlands of the Southern Tablelands, across the picturesque Great Dividing Range and the spectacular Snowy Mountains.

We are home to four large Aboriginal nations – the Gundungurra, Ngunnawal, Ngarigo and Yuin. Southern NSWLHD comprises of four Networks - Tablelands centred around Goulburn, Monaro centred around Queanbeyan and Cooma, the Coastal Network located in the far south-east corner of NSW, and the Integrated Care Network.

Where you'll be working

The Eurobodalla Health Service is located in the Yuin Nation on the beautiful south coast of NSW. It is a networked service spread over three campuses, with two hospitals co-located with community health, Moruya and Batemans Bay, and a standalone community health centre in Narooma collocated with the library.

The Moruya hospital – is a 55 bed hospital at level 3 role delineation.  It offers the following services:

  • Emergency department
  • Inpatient acute medical care provided by General Practitioners
  • General and gynaecological surgery
  • Sub-acute - inpatient rehabilitation and palliative care
  • Maternity (antenatal care, birthing and post-natal care)
  • Hospital in The Home
  • An outreach renal dialysis satellite service as a formal network from Canberra
  • Pathology
  • X-ray, ultrasound and CT

The NSW Government has announced $260 million to build in Moruya, a sustainable, modern and purpose-built hospital to support the needs of the entire Eurobodalla Shire from Narooma to Batemans Bay to service the ever-growing coastal population. This new facility is expected to open to patients in 2025.
