Hornsby Hospital Switchboard
What you'll be doing
The Telephonist position is responsible for the efficient operation of the hospital switchboard and paging system, ensuring calls are answered in a timely manner, with clear and concise communication, providing a 24 hour service for NSLHD.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Exceptional verbal communication with a clear, polite, and articulate phone manner, alongside strong written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in a hospital switchboard, call centre, or similar high-volume, fast-paced communications environment.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and manage difficult, urgent, or emergency situations.
