About the Role

Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit—one of Australia’s most advanced and respected critical care services—is expanding. We’re seeking skilled, motivated, and dynamic Registered Nurses to join our 50bed ICU.

RPA is currently undergoing the largest redevelopment in its history, and we will be moving to a brand new, state-of-the-art unit with additional beds when complete.

With 50 beds across four specialised units, you’ll be exposed to a broad spectrum of critical care:

  • Cardiothoracic ICU
  • Neurosciences ICU
  • General ICU (Green & Blue Units)

From major trauma and multi‑organ failure to complex cardiac, neurosurgical, and general surgical cases, you’ll work at the cutting edge of acute care.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Experienced: Confident in intensive care nursing and comfortable managing high‑acuity patients.
  • Dynamic: Able to adapt quickly to changing clinical priorities.
  • Collaborative: Committed to multidisciplinary teamwork and exceptional patient‑centred care.
