Are you ready to take your career in mental health nursing to the next level? Join a dynamic recovery oriented community mental health team. The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team (MATT) is a tertiary-level service providing comprehensive, recovery-oriented care to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness who require enhanced support to sustain independent living in the community. It operates seven days a week including evening hours and staff work on a rotating roster.
Based at Camperdown Community Health Centre, the team delivers services across Camperdown, Marrickville, and Redfern areas, offering care coordination and clinical interventions tailored to the needs of consumers. The team is multidisciplinary, including registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, a psychiatry registrar, and a psychiatrist.

Our unique New Employee Skills & Transition (NEST) Program is designed specifically for community mental health clinicians (CMH) and is a requirement for new clinicians with two or less than two years’ experience working in CMH. During the first three months in the role, you will be supported to participate in the training program to enhance your understanding of the community clinician role and to deliver safe and high-quality care. With guidance from senior clinicians and managers, you'll develop your skills in a structured and supportive environment. The NEST Program complements our other mandatory training requirements and profession-specific development opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
Understanding of and commitment to recovery oriented services and consumer involvement in service provision.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable)
