About the Role
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital provides a comprehensive range of clinical services to residents of the Sydney Local Health District and has specialised areas of practice in liver, renal and bone marrow transplant, Melanoma therapy, Haematology, Cardiology and Mental Health. The pharmacy department provides clinical trials, outpatients and production unit services and is a leader in the deployment of novel and innovative models of clinical care.
The opportunity exists for a suitable candidate to join the dynamic Pharmacy Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as a Clinical Trials Pharmacist specialist. The role is offered as full-time position. The position reports to the Senior Pharmacist, Investigational Drugs Unit. Responsibilities include the efficient management of all aspects of clinical trials at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and will see the successful candidate working collaboratively with Pharmacy Department teams and clinical trials investigators. The position requires close liaison with the Director of Pharmacy and other senior staff of the department.

Ideal Candidate
- Current Pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligible for immediate registration, and able to practice independently. Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Award and are expected to be able to demonstrate continual ability to meet three of the five competencies within the Award.
- Ability to apply current and good practical therapeutic knowledge in a clinical environment.
