About the Role

This position provides evidence based psychological assessment, diagnosis, case formulation and treatment of psychopathology as it is manifested in cognitive, emotional, motivational, personality and behavioural disturbances. Patients/clients/consumers will be seen individually and may be seen in groups for treatment.
The Clinical Psychologist will participate in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services, assist in the development and
provision of education and training programs and will be expected to supervise post-graduate provisional psychologists where appropriate. Clinical work will occur within the context of a multidisciplinary health care team.

Ideal Candidate
- Current registration to practice as a psychologist, post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) with endorsement or working towards endorsement in clinical psychology and / or eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and ACPA.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience within the provision of clinical psychology interventions in the fields of oncology and/or surgery; therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy and working with families.
