Concord Repatriation General Hospital has built on its strengths of providing quality health services to returned servicemen and women and local communities, as well as undertaking world class clinical education and research
The primary focus is to perform high quality bioinformatics on the projects exploring the genetic cause of nerve loss and death in human neurodegenerative disease by, transforming raw sequencing data into biological insights to deliver high quality processed datasets, variant call sets, filtering reports, multi-omic data integration and current best practice bioinformatic pipelines.

Ideal Candidate
- PhD or equivalent experience in human bioinformatics, human genetics, human neurogenetics.
- Experience applying statistical methods to biological data and scripting in Python or R for human genomic and transcriptomic analysis, including data quality control and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of genomic data formats (e.g., FASTQ, BAM, uBAM, VCF, GTF) and standards, with the ability to manage, process, and document complex datasets effectively.
