Team Leader and Clinical Dietitian Level 6, St George Hospital, Kogarah
Team Lead & Clinical Dietitian Level 6 will assist the Nutrition and Dietetics Head of Department to lead guide and manage the Nutrition and Dietetics Department and implement high levels of clinical expertise in order to provide high quality Nutrition and Dietetic care to patients consistent with NSW Ministry of Health (MoH) and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. This position also manages a clinical caseload.
Plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within Nutrition and Dietetics in order to provide high quality Dietetic care to patients consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
As a senior dietitian in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics you will be actively involved in quality improvement, service review, and service development activities. All senior staff are involved in clinical supervision of junior staff and students.
Selection Criteria
- Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience and broad generalist knowledge of clinical nutrition
- Extensive experience in staff management and coordination of dietitians and technical staff
- Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to coordinate and lead, quality improvement, evidence based practice and service evaluation processes in dietetics
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate workplace change
- Extensive experience with the coordination of and involvement in staff and student clinical supervision
