REQ631942 - Research Regulatory and Finance Officer - Haematology Clinical Trials Unit

Internal to NSW Health – To be considered for this position you must be an employee of NSW Health and its Affiliated Health Organisations.

Demonstrated experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems used within NSW Health will be highly regarded.

The Role

The Haematology Clinical Research Unit (CRU), Cancer Care Centre, St George Hospital, is a leading clinical research centre investigating new treatments for people with Haematological conditions. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Research Regulatory and Finance Officer to join the team to provide outstanding regulatory and finance management support that will enable us to achieve our objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

The Clinical Research Coordinator (Regulation and Finance) is responsible for managing regulation and finance activities related to study, feasibility, planning, start-up, ongoing conduct, close-out and archiving. The position works in a multidisciplinary team to support and research activity and plays an important role in delivering, managing and upholding the quality standards of the research conducted. The role continuously improves the quality and efficiency of research regulatory and finance activities.

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline (e.g. Science, nursing, data management) and/or relevant equivalent work experience
  2. Experience conducting clinical trials with demonstrated experience preparing ethics applications, Site Specific Assessment applications and research governance, trial budgets and trial contracts.
  3. Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and organisational skills.
  4. Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise, manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  7. Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate and complete documentation.
  8. Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
