Are you an experienced Mental Health Nurse and enjoy working with the elderly? This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a great team of nurses and allied health professionals and a supportive and innovative team to provide quality care to consumers aged 65 years or older with mental illness in a community setting.
Come join our team and help plan, coordinate, and implement evidenced based mental health practice with consumers and their families/carers of the Older Persons Service consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. You will be working collaboratively with relevant members of the multidisciplinary team to provide nursing care to ensure optimal recovery focused outcomes for consumers.
Where You'll Be Working
You will be working with consumers in their homes and residential aged care facilities within the Sutherland catchment area to provide nursing care to ensure optimal recovery focused outcomes for consumers.

Role Requirements
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the following criteria in your application:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment, treatment and management of Older People with a mental illness in a community setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to a consumer focussed, recovery-oriented approach and consumer collaboration in care planning.
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development and the participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated skills in time management.
- Computer literacy, along with an understanding of the EMR recording system.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's License.
