Come Work With Us — Make a Real Difference Every Day

Do you believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and genuinely supported? Are you looking for meaningful work where compassion and care truly matter? We’re seeking a dedicated Health & Security Assistant to join our team and help create a safe, therapeutic environment where people can heal, grow, and feel valued.

This role sits at the heart of a mental health care setting where dignity, empathy, and trust guide everything we do. Working alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a vital role in promoting recovery, wellbeing, and safety through calm, respectful, and low-conflict interactions.

This is more than a job — it’s a chance to contribute to meaningful care, live shared values, and be part of a team committed to positive outcomes and lasting impact.

About the Role

As a trusted and valued team member, you’ll help foster a calm, secure, and welcoming environment where patients, staff, and visitors feel respected and supported. Your work will be grounded in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice, recognising each individual’s strengths, lived experience, and right to dignity.

Through your professionalism, presence, and compassion, you’ll support positive patient outcomes while helping maintain a safe and therapeutic setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to critical incidents with calm, respect, and proportionality, prioritising safety while minimising distress
  • Supporting patients by safely accompanying them to appointments and other areas, building reassurance and trust
  • Helping maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming unit that supports wellbeing and recovery
  • Assisting with daily activities and engagement programs that promote connection, routine, and participation
  • Completing regular environmental and safety checks to uphold high standards of care
  • Testing, monitoring, and maintaining duress alarms and safety equipment to ensure reliability and readiness
  • Working collaboratively with nursing and clinical staff to support a unified, person-centred approach to care

You’ll also have opportunities to work across multiple Mental Health Inpatient Units, allowing you to broaden your experience, deepen your understanding of recovery-focused care, and make a meaningful contribution across diverse settings.

Why Join Us?

We offer more than employment — we offer purpose, growth, and support.

With us, you’ll:

  • Be part of a team that values respect, collaboration, and shared learning
  • Build a stable and rewarding career at the intersection of mental health and security
  • Work in an environment that prioritises compassion, safety, and wellbeing
  • Develop valuable skills while making a genuine difference in people’s lives

If you bring strong communication skills, a calm and professional approach, and a genuine desire to support others, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now and join a team making a real, positive difference — every single day.
