To be considered for this position you must be an employee of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and its Affiliated Health Organisations.

What You'll Be Doing:

This position provide a cleaning service across this facility. The HAG2 position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleaning of all surfaces and undertake special cleaning projects throughout the Hospital complex in line with NSW environmental cleaning policy PD2012_061. In addition, this position will also assist with patient transport, equipment and furniture transfer.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow directions and meet specified time schedules
  2. Previous recent experience in a similar position within a healthcare facility and/or in a commercial cleaning service.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of infection control procedures
  4. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Demonstrated ability to perform duties as outlined in the job demands and understanding of good manual handling capabilities
  6. Demonstrated understanding of universal precautions and waste segregation.
