The Role

An opportunity is available within the Admissions Department at St George Hospital for a motivated and customer-focused individual. The role requires previous clerical experience in a fast-paced environment, strong computer and word-processing skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The successful applicant will demonstrate sound negotiation and liaison skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems effectively, and manage time efficiently. A high level of organisation, initiative, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision are essential for success in this role.

Selection Criteria
- Previous administrative experience preferably in a hospital/health care setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take responsibility for role specific deadlines
- Experience of responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures
- Previous experience using electronic patient administration systems (eg. eMR Outpatient Clinic Scheduler, Surginet and iPM) or willingness to learn
- Demonstrated initiative to problem solve
- Demonstrated attention to detail
