Aboriginal Team Leader (Social Worker Level 3) Drug & Alcohol Services

1. To be a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14(d) of the Anti-discrimination Act 1977.
2. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award, eligibility for membership of the AASW, and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
3. Extensive post graduate clinical experience in Aboriginal Health and/or Drug and Alcohol treatment services with demonstrated commitment to harm minimisation philosophies.
4. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
5. Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education and support to others in providing service excellence.
6. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
7. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
8. Demonstrated active participation in developing, implementing and reporting on services.
