Selection Criteria:
- To be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or management related field or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience as deemed appropriate by Manager of the position.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of complex issues that impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in performing a range of skills within allocated timeframes.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence to improve health outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to meet current and emerging consumer and community needs.
- Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
