The Director, Population and Community Health is responsible for leading the operational functions, development, implementation and co-ordination of population and community health services within SESLHD.
The role drives improved health outcomes, through a focus on prevention, health protection, early intervention and community engagement. A key aspect of the role is better co-ordination of services between primary, community and hospital settings and working towards greater overall efficiency of health care system delivery.
The Director is responsible for improving the accessibility and equity of health service delivery to people experiencing disadvantage and priority population groups living within the South Eastern Sydney region through extensive engagement and collaboration across multiple agencies across both government and non-government health sectors.
The primary location of this position may be varied as agreed with the Chief Executive.

All applications must include a demonstration of your ability to meet each of the selection criteria in order to progress through the recruitment process.
Registration or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Candidate to provide AHPRA registration number on application.
- Fellowship of a relevant College or relevant Specialist recognition as provided for under the Staff Specialists (State) Award and demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of service delivery in the community setting and an ability to apply that knowledge to achieve high standards of quality, efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of health services.
- Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated highly developed analytical, problem solving and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the role.
