Where you'll be working
Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.

What you'll be doing

The Intellectual Disability Mental Health (IDMH) clinician is a specialist clinician with experience and contemporary knowledge in the care and treatment of people who experience both intellectual disabilities and mental illness.
The Clinician will work with the Specialised Intellectual Disability Health Team to develop pathways and refer to appropriate psychological and mental health care for this population and may provide assessment and short-term clinical care. The IDMH clinician is also responsible for building the skills and confidence of SESLHD Health and mental health staff to work with people who experience IDMH. This may occur through didactic teaching, joint care planning and care provision, clinical supervision or other means, for clients and individuals who are not clients of the team.

- Proven advanced skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and evidence of ability to direct the development of educational programs.
- Proven clinical expertise in complex client-centred consultancy with the ability to work independently.
