Temporary contract Admin Officer Level 3 - Epilepsy Service
The Role:
This role provides a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable the Comprehensive Epilepsy Service of Prince of Wales Hospital to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable, safe and efficient manner.
Where you'll be working:
The Epilepsy Service is part of a state-wide network of specialised units diagnosing and caring for people with epilepsy. We are a close-knit team of professionals and pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care to our patients. The work is busy but satisfying.
Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. POWH provides an exceptional staff experience and enhanced patient and family outcomes as a result of the provision of person-centred care.

Qualifications:
- Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding work environment.
- Experience in responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to improve and to contribute to improvements in administrative practices and procedures.
- Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and electronic systems at a basic level.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in performing routine administrative tasks and ability to work as part of team.
- Willingness to perform other administrative tasks when directed, according to time available.
