Remuneration: $147,653.00 - $175,917.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
Hours Per Week: 38

About the Opportunity
The Data and Research Governance Team Leader is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Institute's Data and Research Governance Frameworks to facilitate effective cancer related research and timely access to data to provide insights for cancer control in line with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in information management or data governance. 
  • Substantial experience in leading and managing in a research and/or data governance team in a health context. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in applying relevant legislation, standards, codes and guidelines to data and research governance including the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, relevant privacy acts and guidelines and statutory frameworks. 
  • Experience in management or coordination of large data linkage projects including management of ethics applications, and/or governance processes.

  1. Provide an example of when you have had to solve a challenging data or research governance problem in a health context. Outline the options you considered in resolving the problem, how you decided on the final approach and what the outcome was including any lessons learnt. 
     
  2. Tell us your experience in managing data and research governance for an organisation. In your response, include examples of where you have led changes in process and procedures and the strategies you have used to communicate these changes to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
