What you'll be doing
 

The Senior Costing Analyst delivers high quality clinical costing and activity data to inform internal and external reporting, benchmarking, and decision making. It contributes to the continuous improvement of costing methodologies and reporting workflows across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN). 
  
The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of activity and costing data through the timely monitoring and review of reporting variations. This includes preparation, processing, reporting, analysis and education pertaining to activity based cost and activity data and information, and in the identification of opportunities for performance improvement. 
  
The role is also responsible for preparing District and Network Return submission (Clinical Costing) for SCHN, ensuring compliance with NSW Health Cost Accounting Guidelines (CAG). This includes providing analytical advice into Activity-Based Funding (ABF) and activity based budgets in the Service Level Agreement (SLA), utilising statistical methods to identify and report on clinical and costing anomalies. Additionally, the role interprets financial data from the General Ledger (GL) and cost centre structures to support accurate clinical and service level insights.
