Join our FIFO/DIDO Registered Nurse Team, where you will make a big impact to a rural community and be welcomed with open arms! Take a quick look at "Living and Working" in the Far West.
- Fly-in and Fly-out or Drive-in and Drive-out!
- Work at various sites across our rural & remote health facilities (Balranald, Buronga, Ivanhoe, Menindee, Tibooburra, Wentworth, White Cliffs & Wilcannia)
- Casual rotating roster including night shifts working 8 or 12 hour shifts (dependent on site)
- Minimum 2 weeks on 1 week off option. Flexible arrangement.

About the Role
- Provide safe, person-centred care to our patients in a variety of places & settings across the Far West LHD
We require someone with recent remote clinical experience including Primary Health and Emergency Department experience.
- Ambulance training will be provided upon commencement into the role (dependent on site)
The Must Haves
- 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse
- Working in Emergency
- Triage competent
- Advanced Life Support
- ECG, Resuscitation, Non Invasive Cannulation, Venepuncture
- Focus on providing excellent patient care including working with aged care patients
- Is an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or has a valid Visa with full working rights
The Details
- Registered Nurse award rates based on evidence of years of service
- Daily Meal Allowance up to $165 per work day (Dependent on site)
- Reimbursement of fuel (payable by submitting receipts) for DIDO use of own vehicle
- Paid Travel Days
- Accommodation provided
- RHWIS paid as an hourly rate @ $5.04 per hour paid fortnightly

How To Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum three years post graduate experience in an Adult Acute and/or critical care setting and current Advanced Life Support Accreditation.
- Recent remote and Emergency Department clinical experience, including current Advanced Life Support Accreditation.
- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person centred care patient care.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current C Class Licence and willingness to travel to rural and remote locations.
