At CHW, we understand that transitioning to paediatrics can feel like a big step — that’s why we provide a 6-month Supported Transition to Paediatrics Program, delivered through our dedicated Education Centre.
This structured program is designed to support your success, helping you build confidence, capability, and paediatric-specific knowledge in a safe and supportive environment.
During your first year, you will receive tailored education, clinical support, and development opportunities to help you confidently transition your existing nursing expertise into paediatric practice.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Acute Nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Effective time management skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Capacity to work a seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays.
