What you'll be doing
 

The position is frontline to the Department of Adolescent Medicine and responsible for welcoming patients, families, visitors and external stakeholders to the department as well as receiving a high volume of incoming calls for a range of services and forwarding messages to the appropriate staff member by page or email. Provide high level administrative support to medical, allied health and nursing staff.  Coordinating a range of specialty clinics within the Department which include; Complex Adolescent Clinic, Eating Disorders, Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, CICADA Drug and Alcohol, CICADA Family Service, CICADA FASD, Self-Management and Transgender clinics.  To ensure all outpatient details in Patient Management are correct and all Medicare item numbers are in accordance with the MBS.

About You

Describe the qualities and attributes of an ideal candidate, followed by specific skills and qualifications.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand Medical Terminology.
  • Previous Health Care experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong customer services skills.
  • Australia Citizenship or permanent residency status.
  • Patient Management system – desirable or the ability to learn new software programs.
