We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join Sydney Children's Hospitals Network’s Communications and Engagement Directorate. Within a collaborative and supportive environment, the Network Administration Officer will provide administrative support for the Directorate to our multi-site team, Network staff, patients and families, and the wider community. Working from both The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, this role is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic working environment.
The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate exceptional customer service, excellent time management, attention to detail, the ability to write communications for the Directorate and Network and provide day to day administrative duties, Experience in healthcare administration is preferred.

What you'll be doing
The Communications and Engagement Directorate is responsible for implementing the communication, media and engagement strategies, maximising positive communication opportunities, and promoting the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN), its facilities and associated institutions.

The Network Administration Officer will be required to take direction and work intuitively to support the completion of the Directorate's goals and objectives in a professional and culturally appropriate manner.

This role provides administrative support to the Communications and Engagement managers and staff, and is often the first point of contact for the Directorate.  This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective running of the Communications and Engagement Directorate.
  1. Experience working in an administrative role at a large organisation, or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Strong knowledge and experience with computer programs including Management System Programs, Oracle and Data Entry. Proven proficiency in using PC based software including proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams PowerPoint and Outlook).
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive attention to detail.
  4. Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship skills including the capacity to successfully relate to all levels of management and staff as well as external stakeholders.
  5. Experience working independently and in a team with people of varying seniority and background.
  6. Ability to work in stressful situations, maintaining confidentiality, adaptability and flexibility.
  7. Personal qualities such as openness, initiative, cultural sensitivity, focus on outcomes, collaboration and respect for others.
